Poway Midland 3
One of San Diego County’s best kept railroad secrets is this little 1907 vintage Baldwin 0-4-0 steamer that runs around old Poway Park in Poway, California on the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month. The train is 42 inch gauge and runs on a half mile long loop of track. Also in the railroad’s collection are a 1906 vintage San Francisco Cable Car and a Los Angeles Railway Trolley. Poway Midland Railroad 0-4-0 No. 3 is a 1907 Baldwin built for the Henry Cowell Lime and Cement Company of Cowell, CA. The locomotive was used to haul rock over the company’s three-mile line from the quarry to the crushing mill. The city of Poway acquired the locomotive in 1987 and it was restored to operation in 1997.

About our prints…
Our archival, art quality images like Poway Midland 3 are reproduced on acid-free paper with ink that is rated to be fade resistant for up to 200 years.
Each Poway Midland 3 print comes mounted in a 16″ x 20″ archival mat with backing board. All TSG prints are matted to standard frame sizes for ease of framing.
We cut our own mats. The mat colors may vary depending on what we have in stock but we always pick something that compliments the artwork. If you place an order and would like a specific mat color, send us a note and we will try to accommodate you. For Poway Midland 3 we usually use a double mat, often in shades of blue, brown and/or gray. Sometimes we use the same color for both the inner and outer mats. This creates a different but equally appealing look. The print itself is about 11″ x 14″, which leaves an approximate 2.5″ border on the sides and 3″ on the top and bottom.
Prints are protected by a clear plastic archival bag that guards against moisture and minor scratches. We recommend leaving the print inside the bag until it is transferred to a frame.
